An exquisite antique cluster ring from the early Victorian (Circa 1840) featuring an old rose cut diamond in the centre (approx. 0.10ct) ringed by ten cushion cut pink rubies (approx. 0.60ct) and further rose cut diamonds (approx. 0.56ct total).
Ruby is the birthstone of July and has long been associated with the heart due to its fiery pink/ red colouring which is symbolic of passion. It’s said to bring good fortune in love and provide long-lasting happiness and vitality to any relationship.
The gallery is modelled in silver and features a crimped, scallop border and scrolled shoulders, dotted with six additional diamonds. This joins an 18ct gold back with scrolling metalwork carved into the under gallery and further engraving chasing around the band.
It’s a stunning statement piece and a true Victorian treasure that encapsulates the beauty and grandeur of the period.
