A colourful antique Victorian Harlequin pendant from the late 19^th Century fashioned in 18ct gold with a halo of natural opals, pearls, rubies and blue and white sapphires with a fabulous flower-shaped dropper in the centre decorated with further opal petals and a central ruby. 

Harlequin jewellery is named after the colourful costumes of 16th-century comedy actors of the same name. The style was popular during the 19^th Century and saw wonderful pieces of jewellery abundantly decorated in coloured gemstones.  

The pendant is in excellent condition, displaying a gorgeous rainbow of gemstones that would look perfect on the end of a gold chain.
