Antique Edwardian Albert Chain Bracelet 9ct Gold

A grand antique Edwardian curb bracelet made from an old Albert chain. It consists of solid 9ct gold curb links that have a lovely rosy hue and twisted design.

Albert chains were named after Prince Albert and were used by wealthy Victorian gentlemen to secure a pocket watch by attaching it via the T-bar to the buttonhole of a waistcoat. They later became a popular accessory for women as well and converted into beautiful necklaces and bracelets.      

The bracelet is complete with the original T-bar which hangs from a secure claw clasp at the end complete with the maker’s initials.
