VINTAGE SCOTTISH LUCKY GROUSE FOOT PTARMIGAN BROOCH
This unique Vintage Scottish Ptarmigan Grouse foot brooch is Circa 1950.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her trips to Scotland. From the mid 1800's Queen Victoria frequented Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral.
This well preserved Grouse foot is decorated with a silver reindeers head and two purple glass Amethyst Stones.
A Grouse foot has been used in Scottish jewellery pieces since Victorian times and was originally worn on kilts, shawls and cloaks as a good luck charm.
The brooch is set in Base Metal and complete with a secure pin and catch.
This is a truly unique collectors piece of jewellery that deserves to be treasured.
