This remarkable Vintage insect brooch is crafted from 18ct Yellow Gold as the head and legs. An impressive 10ct Jade stone forms the creature’s abdomen, and a large pearl has been set as its thorax.
The insect’s red eyes are two bright Rubies, whilst its wings are formed from two shining panels of Gold.
Insect jewellery is highly collectable and was considered a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian Era.
