This fabulous, 15ct Yellow Gold Mourning Ring is dated Chester 1885.

Mourning jewellery mirrored the lives and times of the people who wore it. It was a souvenir to remember a loved one, a reminder to the living of the inevitability of death, a status symbol, especially during the Victorian Era.

The ring has a beautiful Crystal window with plaited hair underneath.

There is woven hair around the outer gallery of the shank with beautiful engraved workmanship.

This Ring is set in Yellow Gold and stamped 625 - 15ct.

This is a fabulous Ring with gorgeous, all round Victorian workmanship.

Looks fabulous when worn, a great talking piece.
