SUFFRAGETTE 9CT GOLD PENDANT AMETHYST PERIDOT DIAMOND
This fabulous 9ct Yellow Gold Victorian style pendant is made representing the Suffragette movement.
Emmeline Pankhurst was the leader of the British Suffragette movement in the 19th century and through her efforts won the right for women to vote.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking!
The wonderful little pendant boasts two green Peridots, a violet Amethyst and 8 sparkling Diamonds in between.
Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes.
The Peridot is a stone of lightness and beauty and was believed to be a stone of springtime by ancients who considered it a gift from Mother Nature.
Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and legendary powers to stimulate and soothe the mind and emotions.
Diamond is the hardest mineral on Earth and this combined with its exceptional lustre and brilliant fire has made it the most highly prized of all gems.
All set in 9ct Yellow Gold and complete with hallmarks on the bale.
A unique pendant that would look beautiful displayed on a Gold chain.
