ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SCOTTISH SILVER THISTLE AMETHYST BROOCH EDINBURGH CIRCA 1955
This antique Scottish Thistle Amethyst Silver brooch is genuine Victorian, Circa 1955.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her trips to Scotland. From the mid 1800's Queen Victoria frequented Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral.
The wonderful brooch is decorated with detailed engraved Scottish Thistles surrounding a large purple Amethyst in the centre.
The brooch is set in Sterling Silver and displays beautiful workmanship throughout.
Hallmarks can be seen on the back, also T.E which are the makers initials, Thomas Kerr Ebbutt.
It looks beautiful when worn, a great Scottish piece that deserves to be treasured.
It is steeped in history.
