Details

This wonderful antique Victorian Scottish knot brooch is Circa 1860.

Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s.

The brooch is adorned with beautiful inlaid Agates set in an engraved knot gallery.

Agate is a strong mineral sometimes known as the earth rainbow for it’s patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce.

Each Agate is unique with beautiful natural colouring and polished to perfection.

The piece is set in Silver and fitted with a sturdy pin and safety chain too.

This is a wonderful Scottish piece that’s steeped in history, a great collectors piece!

Weighs 10.7 grams.

Measures 49mm across x 35mm down.

Excellent condition.
