This fabulous large antique Amethyst Pearl Mourning ring is a genuine Georgian piece, Circa 1800.
A halo of Pearls and old cut Amethyst stones chase around the central piece which displays beautiful strands of Hair inside a crystal window.
Mourning jewellery mirrored the lives and times of the people who wore it. It was a souvenir to remember a loved one or a reminder to the living of the inevitability of death.
Each Amethyst is 0.75ct which equates to 6cts in total.
