ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN SUFFRAGETTE PINK PASTE SILVER PENDANT CIRCA 1910
This extravagant Antique Suffragette pendant is a wonderful ornate design fashioned in Silver, with swirling metal work decorated with pink and green Paste Stones and Pearls.
Suffragette jewellery was worn to show one’s allegiance to the women’s Suffragette movement in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which carried the message: Green for Give, white for Women and violet for Votes!
Paste is a transparent flint glass that is cut to simulate the beauty of gemstones. Pink Pastes have the alluring qualities of pink Sapphires and take expert craftsmanship to capture their beauty.
It is a fabulous design with three beautiful droppers hanging from the bottom. It would look perfect on a Silver chain.
