Antique Georgian Paste Ring 18ct Gold Circa 1760
This fabulous 18th Century ring is set in 18ct Yellow Gold and adorned with lovely old cut Paste Stones.
This is all original from the Georgian era, circa 1760.
Due to its age, Georgian jewellery is quite rare, with some pieces almost three hundred years old. From 1714 until 1837 four King Georges and a short-lived William gave rise to this extended period, spanning many fashions that are reflected in these stunning pieces of Georgian jewellery.
The central foiled backed Paste Stone measures 1.75ct surrounded by a halo of old cushion cut Pastes.
Paste is a transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. White Pastes sparkle just like Diamonds, captivating the allure of natures beauty.
Displayed on a beautifully engraved double rimmed shank with a closed backed Silver and 18ct Gold gallery.
Purchased in London and steeped in English history.
