This genuine Victorian Suffragette Sterling Silver Paste pendant is absolutely fabulous.
This lovely pendant is extremely pretty and is steeped in English history, a beautiful piece which was purchased in London.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine.
Their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that were mannish or shrieking.
Green is for giving, White is for women and Violet is for votes.
Fabulous all round workmanship with detail from the Suffragette period. A beautiful garland of Paste stones cascade from the central pendant.
Beautiful fresh water Pearls are set around the gallery of this Victorian pendant.
The Pearls have a lovely, rich creamy over tone with a silky finish.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass Pastes.
Weighs 16.7 grams.
Measures including loop and dropper 80mm down x 50mm across.
The central Paste stone measures 8mm down x 8mm across.
