This fabulous Sterling Silver necklace is genuine Victorian, Circa 1880.
The necklace has amazing detail, articulated between each link with Paste stones in each section.
Old Cut Paste stones sparkle just like Diamonds, captivating the allure of natures beauty.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass Pastes.
A truly stunning piece from it’s time with pristine all round workmanship.
The necklace is complete with the old 925 stamp for Silver.
A more modern clasp has been applied over the decades.
Looks fabulous when worn, a beautiful long Paste substantial necklace.
Purchased in London and steeped in English history.
