ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SNAKE BROOCH TURQUOISE HEART 18CT GOLD CIRCA 1880
A wonderful antique Victorian brooch depicting a fancy coiled snake with a line of graduating Turquoise stones across the head and cabochon cut Garnet eyes. It features a lovely heart charm hanging from the mouth with a larger Turquoise stone crowned on top.
Serpent jewellery became popular in the Victorian era and symbolized a wonderful combination of love, loyalty and friendship.
The piece is crafted in 18ct Yellow Gold and displays beautiful engraved detailing across the head and heart. It is a great talking piece and steeped in history.
