ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SILVER PASTE NECKLACE CIRCA 1880
This stunning antique Victorian necklace is Circa 1880, adorned with sparkling old cut Paste stones.
The necklace is a riviere and pendant, the pendant is detachable.
All set in Silver, with beautiful workmanship.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass pastes.
The back of the necklace is all closed backed Silver gallery.
Purchased in London and steeped in Victorian history.
This really is a beautiful necklace, it looks fabulous when worn, ideal for a wedding!
