ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SCOTTISH PASTE AGATE BROOCH SILVER DATED 1845
This beautiful antique Victorian Scottish brooch is adorned with an impressive 12ct Paste stone in the centre to simulate a Cairngorm and surrounded by an array of colourful polished Agates and engraved detailing.
Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.
The brooch is beautifully crafted in Silver, and hallmarked with a Kite mark which dates the piece as 18th of August 1845. It also features a safety chain for added security, looks gorgeous when worn and is a fantastic piece of history.
