ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SCOTTISH GRANITE CITRINE BROOCH SILVER CIRCA 1860
This magnificent Antique Victorian Scottish brooch has been commissioned in Silver and set with an array of beautiful Scottish Granite pieces and four wonderful Citrines. The brooch has been modelled in a circular form and features an elevated cross design in the middle, with intricate engraving covering most of the silver work.
The Scottish Granite is set in both the circular and cross shapes of the brooch with the four stunning Citrines complementing the design and weighing 0.70ct each.
Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid-1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.
A truly beautiful brooch which is steeped in history and in wonderful condition due being part of a collection.
