ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SCOTTISH GRANITE BRACELET HEART PADLOCK SILVER CIRCA 1880
A marvellous antique Scottish bracelet from the Victorian era made up of lovely grey/ pink Scottish Granite links leading to a fabulous engraved heart padlock which features a Granite heart on top.
Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.
Scottish Granite is a lovely Earthy stone and can be found with grey and salmon pink colouring which was popular in Scottish jewellery pieces.
The padlock charm is detachable but has been used to hold the clasp together which isn’t secure on its own. The old clasp can be removed or replaced if needed.
The bracelet is all Sterling Silver and beautifully put together. It looks fabulous around the wrist and steeped in history.
