ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SCOTTISH EARRINGS IVY LEAF SILVER CIRCA 1880
These fabulous antique Silver Scottish Ivy leaf earrings are Victorian Circa 1880.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s.
The wonderful Ivy leaf droppers boast lovely green Jasper stones and earthy red Bloodstones.
The Bloodstone is an earthy gemstone with spots of bright red which were once believed to be solidified drops of blood from the wounds of Jesus Christ during the crucifixion.
Jasper is a stone grounded in nature with a wonderful rich speckled texture that comes in a variety of different earthy colours.
The earrings are set in Silver and fitted with long shepherd hook wires.
These are a lovely pair of collectable Scottish earrings that look beautiful when worn!
Weigh 3.5 grams together.
Measure 15mm across x 18mm down x 33mm down with wire.
Both in Excellent condition.
