This wonderful antique Scottish Silver brooch is from the Victorian era, Circa 1860.

Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s.

The piece displays two large amber Citrine’s, a pink and yellow Quartz stone and four natural Agates set in a beautiful engraved setting.

Citrine’s sparkle and have a crisp, radiant quality about them. The stone is sometimes known as ‘Gold Topaz’ and is the birthstone for November.

Agate is a strong mineral sometimes known as the earth rainbow for it’s patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce.

The piece is all set in Silver and fitted with a sturdy pin and catch.

This is a beautiful antique find and a great collectors piece!
