ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SCARAB BROOCH 15CT GOLD CIRCA 1860
This fabulous Victorian Scarab brooch is Circa 1860.
The brooch is set in 15ct Yellow Gold the lovely Scarab sits in the centre with a rope edge Gold finish.
Tested as 15ct Gold with jewellery acid tester.
The Scarab Beetle is a metaphysical symbol of ancient Egypt.
It holds a great meaning and significance, opening one up to entirely different atmospheres, the elements and mysteries of the cosmos.
The lovely box is all original to the Scarab and it sits in position on lovely velvet pedestal.
The pin is replaced but the rest of the brooch is 15ct Yellow Gold.
A safety catch levers down over the pin.
The Victorians used wonderful craftsmanship with unique pieces of jewellery.
It looks fabulous when worn.
Weighs 4.1 grams.
The brooch measures 56mm across.
The Scarab measures 17mm across x 20mm down.
