This fabulous Victorian Circa 1900 necklace is set with tortoise shell and ivory.

The chain is set in Silver.

Each section is set with a tortoise shell panel surrounded by pretty detailing in Silver.

Tortoise Shell was a very popular material throughout the 18th, 19th and first part of the 20th century. It had an enormous variety of uses in jewellery, household objects and accessories.

The centre section depicts a portrait of a gorgeous lady made from Ivory.

Each panel either side depict lovely flowers also made from Ivory.

This is a beautiful necklace, a truly wonderful talking piece!
