ANTIQUE VICTORIAN GARNET SNAKE PIN 9CT GOLD 4CT GARNET CIRCA 1880
This wonderful Antique stick pin dates from the late Victorian era (Circa 1880) and features a coiled snake wrapped around a large claw set cabochon cut Garnet which is approx. 4ct.
The Garnet has been adored throughout history for its blazing red colour which hides beneath its dark surface. It is said to be a stone of purity, truth and a symbol of love and compassion.
The piece is modelled in 9ct Yellow Gold with detailed scales etched across the snake and a wonderful spiralling design to the pin. It is a highly collectable piece of history and in excellent condition.
