ANTIQUE VICTORIAN EAGLE BROOCH SILVER CIRCA 1900
This beautiful large antique Silver Victorian Eagle brooch is Circa 1900.
The Eagles depicted wings are outstretched and decorated in sparkling Cut Steel studs with a green Paste eye.
Cut-steel jewellery is set with faceted and polished steel studs that resemble gemstones. This type of jewellery was popular during the Victorian era with finer, older pieces having more faceted studs.
Paste is a transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones.
The brooch is hallmarked ‘Silver’ on the reverse and fitted with a secure pin and safety catch.
This is a beautiful collectable brooch that looks fabulous when worn.
This is steeped in history, it is a great talking piece.
