ANTIQUE VICTORIAN AGATE SCOTTISH BRACELET SILVER CIRCA 1860
A grand antique Scottish bracelet from the Victorian era C. 1860, featuring a beautiful front gallery decorated in Agates and engraved patterns.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s.
The bracelet is articulated and features colourful Agates around the entire circumference leading to a large box clasp with safety chain.
Agate has been nicknamed the earth rainbow for it’s patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce. Each Agate is unique with beautiful natural colouring and polished to perfection.
The piece is fashioned in Silver which has developed a lovely smooth feel to it.
A fine example of Scottish jewellery and steeped in history.
