This beautifully designed Victorian snake collar necklace is set in 18ct Gold on Silver, Circa 1880.

The snakes head is set with a rich green glass stone, which compliments the collar necklace superbly.

Serpent jewellery became popular during the early years of Queen Victoria’s reign coinciding with the full flowering of the Romantic Movement. Serpents represent love, loyalty and friendship, what a lovely combination.

Serpents were given as a token of love and friendship during the Victorian Era.

This collar necklace sits around the neck elegantly.

On the reverse a hallmark can be seen.

This shows all round superb workmanship from its era.

It looks beautiful when worn making a lovely statement.

It weighs 16.3 grams

It measures 14 inches in length.

The depth of the necklace measures 4.5 inches.

Width measures 5mm down.

The green stone measures 5mm across x 6mm down.
