ANTIQUE SCOTTISH VICTORIAN AGATE BUCKLE BROOCH SILVER CIRCA 1860
This impressive Scottish Agate brooch is crafted from nine pieces of Agate set into a Silver buckle design with an engraved Silver flourish.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid-1800s.
Each Agate is unique and boasts various earthy colours and patterned layers which are naturally formed, earning it the appropriate nickname ‘The Earth Rainbow’.
A stunning historic piece to be treasured.
