This beautiful antique Sterling Silver Scottish Agate brooch is genuine Victorian Circa 1860.

Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her trips to Scotland. From the mid 1800's Queen Victoria frequented Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral.

The wonderful leaf shaped brooch is set with fabulous grey and white striped Agates which show natural grain from within.

Agate is a strong mineral sometimes known as the earth rainbow for it’s patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce.

Each Agate is unique with beautiful natural colouring and polished to perfection.

All set in Sterling Silver and complete with a safety chain too.

Purchased in London and steeped in history.

Looks beautiful when worn, a wonderful collectable piece.
