These magnificent long hand carved Victorian Cameo earrings are made from Whitby Jet from the 1880's

On original wires, these fabulous earrings depict beautiful hand carved jet cameos which are very well executed.

A lovely fine example of Whitby Jet earrings that are genuine 1880

Whitby Jet was brought to the attention of the world by Queen Victorian who used Whitby Jet as part of her mourning attire.

Jet is a type of brown coal a fossilised wood from an ancient tree similar to the monkey puzzle tree.

Today Whitby Jet is highly collectable and sought after world wide.

Exquisite all round workmanship these really are fabulous earrings.

They look wonderful when worn.

They weigh 7.4 grams

Measure 57mm in length including the wires x 22mm in width.
