This magnificent Victorian insect brooch is French Circa 1880.

Purchased in France and stamped with the Eagles head this beautiful insect brooch is set with rich

grassy green Emeralds, lovely rich pink Rubies and lustrous Pearls.

The beautiful central Pearl has a lovely rich lustre with silky overtone.

The Victorians loves insect jewellery it showed passion and fun in their lives.

Beautiful workmanship all round, insect jewellery as highly prized as this is extremely difficult to source.
