This fabulous antique Victorian Silver and 15ct Yellow Gold insect brooch is Circa 1900.

Insect jewellery today is highly collectable and was considered a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian Era.

The wonderful brooch is adorned with a beautiful winged insect set with 0.50ct of Rubies as well as Diamonds and a central Turquoise.

The Ruby is considered to be the most powerful gem of the universe, given as a gift, the Ruby is a symbol of friendship, love and loyalty.

Turquoise stones are considered a symbol of friendship and were once said to bring good fortune to the wearer. 

Diamonds sparkle continuously and beautifully captivating the allure of natures beauty. They are the hardest mineral on Earth and this combined with its exceptional lustre and brilliant fire has made it the most highly prized of all gems.

The brooch is hallmarked 15ct Gold on the reverse and fitted with a sturdy pin and catch.
