ANTIQUE GEORGIAN SILVER CROSS NECKLACE CIRCA 1730
This stunning antique Georgian Silver Cross Necklace is Circa 1730.
Due to its age, Georgian jewellery is quite rare, with some pieces almost three hundred years old. From 1714 until 1837 four King Georges and a short-lived William gave rise to this extended period, spanning many fashions that are reflected in these stunning pieces of Georgian jewellery.
The beautiful cross is adorned with sparkling white Paste Stones which are displayed in the beautifully engraved Georgian Silver gallery.
Paste is a transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. White Pastes sparkle just like Diamonds, captivating the allure of natures beauty.
The cross is tied to a separate Silver piece and held together with a black Ribbon which can be adjusted in length.
This is a simply stunning Georgian piece that is steeped in history and looks beautiful when worn.
