This fabulous Georgian pendant and chain is Circa 1780
All set in Sterling Silver leading to a lovely large cross that has beautiful bright white foiled back old cut stones that sparkle just like Diamonds.
Genuine Georgian, with a closed backed silver gallery which is typical of its day.
Lovely deep red Garnets chase around the cross.
This is 236 years old.
The Garnet is a stone of purity and truth as well as a symbol of love and compassion.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones
because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion.
