ANTIQUE GEORGIAN LONG PASTE EARRINGS SILVER CIRCA 1800
These fabulous long antique Georgian paste earrings are Circa 1800.
A lovely pair of 19th Century earrings which are all original.
Adorned with old cut Paste stones all round.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass pastes.
The earrings are set with Gold wires.
The reverse of the earrings display beautiful all round Georgian workmanship.
These look fabulous when worn, such a statement piece!
