ANTIQUE GEORGIAN LONG PASTE EARRINGS LOVELY RED PASTE CIRCA 1830
These fabulous Cabochon cut red paste earrings are beautiful.
Set with Old Cut Paste stones which cascade down the lovely earrings.
With a lovely setting and a polished gold and silver back gallery
which is typical of the Georgian Era these earrings
are probably made from a Georgian collar.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the
fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high
indices of refraction and strong dispersion, The Romans in
particular were very skilful in the production
of coloured - glass pastes.
These earrings weigh 6.3 grams
They measure 49mm in length
The Red Paste stone measures 8mm across x 12mm down
These will look fabulous worn for a special occasion or a wedding.
