This fabulous all original antique Georgian flat cut Garnet and Diamond ring is Circa 1750.

Due to its age, Georgian jewellery is quite rare, with some pieces almost three hundred years old. From 1714 until 1837 four King Georges and a short-lived William gave rise to this extended period, spanning many fashions that are reflected in these stunning pieces of Georgian jewellery.

This beautiful rich flat cut Garnet is over 2ct in size surrounded by a halo of rose cut Diamonds.

The Garnet has been adored throughout history for it’s deep red colouring that resembles a Pomegranate. It is said to be a stone of purity, truth and a symbol of love and compassion.

An old rose cut Diamond resembles the shape of a rose bud. They sparkle and glisten with immense brilliance and life captivating the allure of nature's beauty.

The ring is set in 18ct yellow Gold with a closed backed Silver gallery which is typical of the Georgian Period.
