ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN DIAMOND HEART LOCKET CRESCENT STAR 18CT GOLD DATED 1909
A wonderful Antique Edwardian heart locket featuring a six-pointed star and crescent moon on the front which are set with four approx. 0.08ct old mine cut Diamonds which have a clarity of SI 1 and H colour.
Star and Moon images became popular during the late 19th Century as an interest in astronomy grew. Stars symbolise guidance and are seen to lead you in the direction you are meant to go.
The piece is all 18ct Yellow Gold and fully hallmarked dating the piece to 1909. It is a wonderful locket to be treasured and opens up with room to insert two cherished photographs within.
