This delightful Victorian 18ct Gold and Silver butterfly brooch is adorned with Rubies and sparkling rose cut Diamonds, Circa 1900.

Butterfly or insect jewellery is highly collectable and was a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian Eras.

The centre Ruby is 0.25ct and each cabochon Ruby eye is 0.1ct.

The Ruby is considered to be the most powerful gem of the universe, given as a gift, the ruby is a symbol of friendship, love and loyalty.

A rose cut Diamond resembles the shape of a rose bud. The rose cut dates to the 1500s and remained common during the Georgian and Victorian eras. The old rose cut Diamonds sparkle and glisten with immense brilliance and life captivating the allure of nature's beauty.

The brooch is set in 18ct Yellow Gold and Silver, fitted with a secure pin on the reverse. 

This is a fabulous Victorian Brooch that looks beautiful when worn.
