This is breathtakingly beautiful.

A genuine French Essex Crystal brooch that is hand painted under crystal to give a three dimensional effect.

The surrounding pearls are natural with 8 Old Cut Diamonds set into the outer gallery.

Essex Crystal jewellery also known as Reverse crystal jewellery was produced from the Victorian era through the 1930s or 1940s.

Similar to intaglio jewellery, the art work can be quite detailed.

Many pieces of reverse crystal jewellery depicted sporting motifs such as a fox hunt.

Usually Essex Crystals are set with dogs, cats or horses this is the first ever we have purchased with flowers this really is a museum piece, one to be treasured.

In very good condition.

Stamped with French hallmarks this is 18ct yellow Gold.

This lovely brooch weighs 10.8 grams & measures 35mm in width & 24mm in length.
