This fabulous antique Victorian hand carved Cameo brooch depicts a fine profile of a lady.

Genuine Victorian, Circa 1860.

Fruit is displayed in the hair of the lady, it is very well executed with a high relief texture from Bull Mouth Shell - Cameo Shell.

The fabulous Bull Mouth Shell has been popular for many years as a base for Cameo carvings for it’s beautiful natural patterning.

Cameo’s have been carved since ancient times with the most popular motif for a Cameo being the profile of a woman.

The frame has a lovely patterned design boasting stunning workmanship of it’s time.

The Cameo has been tested as 9ct Gold and complete with a Gold safety chain.
